High-Level Infrastructure Sustainability Assessment.
Brisbane Metro will be a high-frequency, high-capacity public transport system that will better utilise existing busway infrastructure. Extending approximately 21 kilometres from Eight Mile Plains busway station in the south to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital busway station at Herston in the north, and to the UQ Lakes busway station at St Lucia.
Acciona requested an Independent Sustainability Professional (ISP) for the Project and the delivery of independent audits in the design and construction phases, to ensure that the key objectives for sustainability are addressed during the design phase of the Project. Furthermore, the ISP will assist Georgiou in its capacity for delivering similar projects in the future.

Review, update and implementation of the Sustainability Management Plan was undertaken, outlining strengths and opportunities to ensure that the key objectives for sustainability are addressed during the design phase of the Project.
